The freedmen are not unanimous in regard to where it shall be located, each one desireing  it near his own dwelling. I have had some difficulty explaining to them and endeavoring to impress on them that it was not the question where a school house should be which was of importance to them as whether they should unite and have a place of education for their children. I think in the course of a month to have a school ready for teaching.
