great good accomplished by his being here - think him a friend to the colored folks and can't say that of the Maj can only judge of him however of what the people say -
Miss Farrar is teaching, and has a full school. It wants some one here that has the orthoraty to harmonize the people, and there will be no trouble, and no reason why there should not be a good
school in this place.
There is plenty of substance here but it wants molding in order to make good scholars of them. If you have any influence in regard to Capt Barker coming here, would say, it would please me much to see him here at work
