Robinson on Yellow Bayou plantation would provide everything and thinks five hundred dollars would be raised. There are several plantations having from fifteen to twenty children on them but where only a small salary could be raised."

Captain Nm Brian, Agent at Jacksonport reports: "There are a sufficient number of children here to constitute a very good school, and I think that if furnished with a colored teacher, would succeed very well. I will extend all the assistance I can for the  progress of Education, and to assist in the organization of schools"

George H. Mallett, Agent at Princeton reports: "He need a school in this vicinity for the people of color. As I reported last month I think we might get about forty students in Princeton and vicinity. At no other place in the County, can a school be sustained for want of a sufficient number of schollars. If you wish me to take any steps in regard to the establishing of a school here
