Respectfully returned to Wm M Colby Supt of Education with the information that the school house on the Cockrill place was built by Government but was not reserved when the property was restored to its owner - it is now used as a school house by the freedman - Miss Penny the teacher says she has no complaints to make, is being well treated, and in most excellent health.  The school house will be repaired
