Bureau of R.F. and A.L.
Washington, Arkansas.
July 30th 1867.

Mr Wm M Colby,
Little Rock, Ark's.

Sir,

I am requested by Warren McFadden, who is building the new school house at this place, to inform you that he has failed to get a supply of liquid slating for the black-boards. He sent for it to New Orleans, but the parties to whom he sent either did not have any, or forgot to send it. He wishes to know if you could procure any.

The school house is almost finished, and looks very well.

Your Obedient Servant
Fred W. Thibaut
Lieut. 6th US Infantry
Agent of Bureau &c

P.S.
Can you send me some plans for a Church, one that will accommodate between 2 and 300. Arrangements are being made for building one. About 200 dollars are raised.
