Sir:
I have the honor respectfully to recommend that the salary of Rev. E.K. Miller Assistant Supt. of Education, be increased from One Hundred Dollars to One Hundred Twenty-five Dollars per month. Mr Miller will spend a great part of his time in the field, where his expenses will be 100 to 200 percent greater than at a Post. His present salary is scarcely sufficient to cover his field expenses and the moderate, current expenses of his family.
