lost out of the packages. Mr Sims, says the Freedmen seem quite engaged with regard to the school. It is entirely new to them. It will be impossible to have a night school this summer, still they can learn something in Sabbath School.
Mr Sims has three daughters to educate, the eldest 12 years of age. He asked me today, if I would be willing to teach his children, out of school hours. I told him I must first consult you with regard to it. He mentioned the subject to Mr. Steele & Judge Coulter, when I first came.
