Bureau R.F.& A.L.
Rocky Comfort Ark.
June 3rd, 1868

Wm. M. Colby Esq.
Supt of Education B.R.F & A.L
Little Rock Arkansas:
Sir,
I have the honor to transmit herewith my monthly Report of the conditions of Schools in my district. I have not given answers to all the questions, as they would still be the same as continued in my last repent. I have not agitated the "School Matter" lately among the freedmen, but prefer to let it rest until we see what the prospects are for the colored people to make good crops this year. The idea was up in the minds of the colored people that they would be immediately furnished free school by the State, and by keeping still awhile I think it will sink to rest, and by next fall they well believe that the Bureau offers the grater facilities for schools.
Very Respectfully
Your Obt. Servt.
William H. Willis
Agent B.R.F & A.L
