Dear Sir
I neglected writing last month owing to impossibility of sending out mail for so long a time. For several weeks we were completely shut out in this corner from the rest of the world, by the recent floods we have experienced.

Yours of the 20th ult. I received in due time and will comply with your wishes as far as I can in regard to a narative report at the close of the term.
