I yesterday rec'd a letter from C Clark of Helena, dated the 18th enclosing a Deed for signature, for conveyance of a piece of Land (about one acre) to certain Trusttees for school purposes, Immediately called a meeting of our Business committee and on consideration of the subject, we find that the property is held by Trusttees of Indiana yearly meeting of Friends, and, they have no authority to make such conveyance, writen direction of the yearly meeting, and there will be no meeting of that Body untill in the Fall, so that it seems it seems impossible at this time to comply with the proposition.
We should be sorry for any delay in building the House on this account. The 30 acres of the West side of the 80 is held by the Trusttees of Ind Y'r M'g in Trust for Orphan Assylam & Education so that we hope you will feel no embarrassment in proceeding with the work, we will endeavor to
