Dear Sir,
Miss Getman intends starting for your city tomorrow, though I fear the two days she has stopped with us have not been sufficient to rest & recuperate for so long & tiresome a journey, and I have insisted on her remaining with us until Monday, but I presume she is quite anxious to go on as all "homeward bound" travelers are. The stage agt here refuses to take the U.S. Transportation and she has paid the money as also did Mrs. Stewart who left us Wednesday morning! Mr. Wim brought Miss Getman to this place on her transportation, but is very much dissatisfied about it, and I have taken it pledging to pay it myself in case the amount is not paid by the Disbursing Office; I sent the order to you with their bill, will you please see what can be done with it. As my transportation order is worth nothing here had I not better
