By reference to my monthly report, you will then learn the progress made. Our room has been enlarged so that it is now 22 x 32 ft. Our numbers are still increasing, and the interest deepening

Saturday we had an exhibition in the woods in connection with the Barbecue, and to day 
Monday another new impulse is sensibly felt and seen. Sunday our Sabbath School was crowded and the feeling manifested was excitingly good.

I have made inquiries in my Day & Sabbath Schools about Testaments, & books and can find only three New Testaments in this place.

We have not a map, chart, globe or tablet of any kind, and but a poor apology for a blackboard. These things should be found in every well regulated school. Our people here are too poor to get them. But very few are able to pay tuition. The expenses of the school are met mostly by contribution, public & private. Unless Government can do something to aid us I shall be obliged to abandon the field which I should exceedingly regret.

I hope hereafter should I remain here to have some blanks from your office to fill with such matter & such form as may be desirable to you. If you can send me some Testaments with the Psalms and also some Primary cards I would be greatly obliged. As I have been sick with
