Certain parties residing in the county and favorable to the cause and desirous of having a Freedmens school started in their vicinity In effect their object they propose to donate a track of land well enclosed suitable for the purpose - the title to rest in trustee appointed from amongst the prominent freedmen - Subject however to the following condition that they receive aid from the US Government to enable them to build a suitable School House - should such aid be given they pledge themselves to make a good and valid title to the Land and enclose the same in a manner satisfactorily to you or whoever might be appointed to examine the same -
