Mr. Wm. M. Colby

Dear friend

The Geographies came safe & all right.
The children were very much pleased & those who could not have one, were disappointed.
Mr. Casey had a copy, which I used last month, to instruct this class. They could not improve very rapidly without a supply of books. My school is prosperous & pleasant.
Mr. Casey tells me you have a fine little daughter, which I hope may live to be useful and a comfort to her parents.
When you have her photograph taken, I hope to receive one.
