Camden, Ark. March 6/69

Mr. Colby

Dear Sir - :

Our school is entirely too crowded, as you see by our reports One hundred and forty pupils are more than we can attend to, and do them justice. Therefore, I propose to divide the school. The church is close by which we can use. And we have several scholars who are capable of instructing the primary classes. Can we not select two pupils who are willing to assist, and reduce our own pupils to about one hundred ?

I solicit your advise before taking any steps. Please answer by return mail if convenient.

Yours Truly &c
Thos E. Hughes
