WARRANTY DEED---Wife's Lands.
Know all men by these presents, That we, Elisha Meers and Lucy Meers his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten dollars, to us in hand paid by Arnold Blackburn David Gossett Lewis Prince Roland Crawford and William Griffith Trustees for the freedman School in Deed no 7. Johnson Co Arkansas, do hereby grant, bargain and sell unto the said Trustees and to their Successor in Office for the purpose of enacting them on a School house and other out buildings thereto attached but for none other [[strikethrough]] and unto h _ heirs and assigns [[/strikethrough]] forever, the following Lands, lying in the County of Johnson and state of Arkansas, to-wit:
One acre out of the North West Corner of South East quarter of the North East quarter of Section No (5). Give in Township No (9) nine north of Range (23) Twenty three West, remaining equal distances grow the corner so as to form one Square.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto the said Trustees and their Successors in Office [[strikethrough]] and unto h __ heirs and assigns [[/strikethrough]] forever, with all appurtenances thereunto belonging And we hereby covenant with the said trustees that we have good right to said land that we will forever warrant and defend the title to said Lands against all claims whatever.
