Sir:
I have the honor to inform you that Mr. John Thompson of Fouch T's informs me it is the general desire of the colored families in that neighborhood, I should take charge of a school there. Mr. Thompson is building a school house at his own expence, which he designs renting for school purposes. I am in present employ of C. H. Cole and cannot now go to Mr. Thompsons. I am ordered to muster my company for July 3rd, 1869 which duty in conjunction of working daily will employ one till after first week in July. I would respectfully refer you to Capt. Dunscombe  Capt. Cole. Mr. Stafford J. C. Mills  Maj McDermot
