Dear Sir 
Shortly after receiving your letter informing me the action of the A.M. Association Miss Cumming arrived. But previous to the reception of your letter, and indeed to any notice that the "association" would supply this place, the Trustee of this District had contracted with Miss Griswould of Little Rock for a term of nine months. Miss Cumming is awaiting advice from you. She is willing to accept a situation at Pocahontas where we much need a good teacher for colored school.
