Office Circuit Superintendent of Public Instruction,
Eighth Judicial District of Arkansas.
Hot Springs, Ark. Nov 24th 1869.

Hon Wm. M. Colby.
Little Rock Ark
Dear Sir,

I take pleasure in acknowledging the receipt of your letter of the 16th. Have "Interviewed" Mr Taylor, who informs me that he had the blank voucher signed and "one teacher blank" filled out (I suppose he meant Teacher's Monthly Report) and forwarded to you three weeks ago. He was at a loss to know whether you wanted more than one "teacher's blank" filled out or not, and producing your letter asked my opinion; I informed him that from the language of your letter you undoubtedly requested Reports for every month they expected rent, and that he should have forwarded reports for the month's rent was to be paid. I learned from him that he had no blank monthly Reports on hand.

Respectfully yours,
D.C. [[?]]
