Sir,
In compliance with the provisions of Circular #6, Series of 1867, I have the honor to enclose herewith copy of a deed to the American Missionary Association of one - half acre of land at Fayetteville, Washington Co. Ark., to be used as a site for a freedmen's school. It is proposed to erect thereon a substantial frame school building 33 by 44 feet inside, and 14 feet from floor to ceiling, the cost of which inclusive of seats and desks, and exclusive of some preparatory labor to be given by the freedmen, is estimated at ($1800.) eighteen hundred dollars.
