is a positively good one and its influence is quite marked and extensive.  There is a method and persistency in the Sabbath School, temperance, and general missionary work carried on through the institution that is not formed elsewhere in the state.  In view of what the institution has already done and what it promises to do in the future an appropriation of a few thousand dollars from the "Refugee and Freemen's Fund" for the object named in the memorial would seem to be timely and judicious.
