My Dear Capt:

I arrived here alive but I questioned how long I should remain so. The ride especially during the night was a hard one, and exhausted my little stock of patience long before morn. I could not sleep. Shivered with the cold, and was knocked around first head up there heels up till I wished myself far 
away from Ark. When I arrived Capt. Williams was away, and when he returned I found that there was
