I am desirous of staying here that I may do my best, humble though my efforts are to teach them religiously. They have a good man for Pastor, but he is ignorant, and asks for instruction himself. What say you? What shall I do? Can you as agent for Freedmen's Bureau help me, that I may receive together with my other receipts  a fair compensation per month?
