Dear Sir 
Our public school last year was under the controll of Mr. Thad Taylor, Trustee of this Dist, and we are informed that money was sent to pay their expenses of the colored School at this place from your department. The School was taught in the colored church. And no rent was ever paid for the use of it. And as I am asked by the colored people to investigate the matter. I find that the old Trustee turned over $35 00/100 of the said money to J. C. Hale our present Trustee who asked me to enquire how he must use the money: if he must pay the last years expences as that was left open, or
