Dear Sir: I am glad to inform you that I have at last obtained a school near Lewisburg 2 1/2 m's from the town at a compensation of $62.50 per month for 4 months. I expected to get more but such a wages for four months suits me better than the same for 3 [[thre?]] months or a school in July for 3 mns as $75.00 per month.

I am to teach the first colored school in the township
