T W Taylor for Deft being duly sworn deposes & says that he kept the books of Taylor & Hughes from June 26/65 up to Octo 21/65— 
By the admission of the hands employed in the factory the a/cs for work as set down on the Factory book by the former bookkeeper Mr Gilman were correct up to the time the books were transferred to me. Up to the 21 of October Moses Owen had worked to the amt. of $72.

24— had rec'd on a/c thereof the sum of $64.98 leaving still a balance due him of $7.26—

Since Oct 21/65 I have had no personal acquaintance with the Books of Taylor & Hughes.
