O clock I would readily have complied with your request. I had so short a notice. My age the rise of 70. years and my health has been to feeble this winter. I hope these Lines will be satisfactory to you, As it respect the claim Louisiana has against me. That is all right, when she was going Leave me, she ask me if I did not want one her Boys, I said to her I should like to have bill to stay with me. I would feed cloth him. and give $30.00 for Him, which I consider a Just Debt, on this claim I have only $750. I am owing her $22.50, which I know is Justly Due her, which I will pay her as soon as can get the money. I said to her son Jones over Christmas that I had the promise of gen'l Jones to pay $2020.00 to me. That she should have the money as soon as I collect it. I will not wrong her out of one cent. Some sixty pass out of my hands in 1865 and is the first one to complain, and this would not have occurred if could have command the money. Bear with me. I will do wright in this matter. Please let me hear from you by the bearer of this.
