Tegucigalpa, Honduras, March 1, 1944

Mr. Elton Silliman,
Apartado 901
Mexico, D.F., Mexico.

Dear Tubby:

Your letter of February 22 with attached clipping has been received.

I am sure that Silliman will be much happier operating his paper in Nashville and getting out of the mad scramble at Chicago.

We have not determined as yet when we will make the trip to Mexico but I believe it will be before May 15. I appreciate your offer to make reservations and to help us out in the way of automobile transportation while we are there. I will probably take you up on your kind offer.

I have not entirely recovered from the attack of flu but believe I will be about normal in another week. At least I am able to work, which makes it less monotonous.

With kindest regards, I am

Sincerely yours,

John D. Erwin

P.S: Don't fail to call on Joe Roberto, Hotel Geneva, some evening. He is one of the best.
