AMERICAN AIRLINES
SHEET NO. 2

Mr. E. R. Silliman
July 5, 1955

As far as I know, the estate is in good shape, and he had recently made Silliman, Jr. President of the Tennessean and little Amon Vice President. This was the first chance I have had of observing the boys since they were somewhat smaller, and I am glad to report that I think the two will handle the property in good shape and will be successful newspaper men. Silliman, Jr. likes the business administration and the mechanical end of the plant, whereas little Amon has a faculty for writing and like the editorial and reporting end of the business.

I understand that you have bought a ranch and are spending a good deal of time there, which should encourage you to get more rest than you have been accustomed to for a period of years, and I hope you are taking advantage of it.

I have not been to Mexico for too long a time with the exception of doing some white wing shooting with Murchison for a few days last month. I will be coming that way one of these days and look forward to seeing you again.

With warmest personal regards,

Sincerely,

"Red"

O. M. Mosier
