September 29th, 1955

Mr. George Kraigher, Manager
Arabian American Oil Company
505 Park Avenue
New York 22, New York

Dear George:

Your very welcome note of September 26th was received this morning.

I certainly do remember a little trip that you, Joe Vazquez and I made to Costa Rica in 1939.

If you recall, we paid great attention to the blackboards which the newspapers had installed in the streets just about the time Mr. Hitler invaded Poland.

Regarding your question, I believe that the present airport called El Coco is some five or eight kilometers distant from the site inspected by you, Joe and I in the region of Alhajuela. My information comes from Henry Keith, who was here not long ago. I also believe El Coco to be located roughly between Heredia and Santa Ana.

With warm greetings, and hoping that you will find time to visit us, I remain,

Sincerely,

E.R. Silliman
