OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

MR. E. R. SILLIMAN -2- NOVEMBER 4, 1955

I imagine that it would be best to arrange for the permit, and for us to enter and clear for Scammon's from Ensenada. I think it well to point out that no harm will result to the whales. I cannot be so sure that the small boat people are entirely safe.

Many thanks for any efforts you care to make in my behalf. If you would like to go "whaling" I would be delighted to have you aboard.

Peggy joins me in sending you and Mrs. Silliman our warm regards.

Sincerely,
Don
