PERSONAL

Mr. Donald W. Douglas Jr.
Douglas Aircraft Company, Inc.
Santa Monica, California

Dear Don:

Confirming our telephone conversation, you will be attended upon your arrival in Tijuana by Mr. Carlos Ruanova, of the Mexican Customs.

All pertinent arrangements have been made by our Mr. Miguel Araiza Pompa, Station Manager in Tijuana, and I know that you will not be molested entering or departing through that port. In addition to the arrangements mentioned, our Colonel Pedro A. Chapa has communicated with the Administrator of Customs in that city, SeƱor Jesus S. Salcido, and I enclose herewith original letter from don Jesus to Colonel Chapa. Privately, I request that you do not use this letter but merely hold it in case of some unforeseen incident on the part of some minor Custom employee.

With warmest greetings, and wishing you full success in your expedition, I remain,

Sincerely

E.R. Silliman
