Dear Mrs. Geist:

I was sorry to hear from Mr. Kelley when I was in Philadelphia a few days ago, that you couldn't see me, as it would have given me great pleasure to call on you. I shall be going off and on to Philadelphia, however, and hope to be more fortunate next time.

Should you, on the other hand, come to New York, I do hope you will have time to drop in at the galleries, as I would very much like to show you several French paintings which I feel sure you will greatly enjoy seeing.

Believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
