Stoughton Oct 29th 1939

I am writing you early for we are going to Mrs Austins right after dinner to see Mrs Barrys lovely furniture in Brockton. she spends most of her time in Holbrook where she has her beauty Parlor. she has all she can do there. An old aunt my age is living at her home & Mr. Austin is coming for us. she is going to have my asparagus ferns she took one home with her the other night. they are too big for me to handle so I am only too glad to give them to one who loves them. I have a plenty little ones growing up in my flower pots. 

After our two stormy days it cleared yesterday afternoon & the wind blew all night & settled in the N West. so today its cold in the 40s but seemes good to see the sun once more. Alice called us up yesterday & talked a long time with me she certainly
