Dear Doris
We are having dog day weather since one
last thunder shower Tuesday afternoon which did so
much damage in the towns around us with hail
stones as big as golph balls smashing windows + wind
accompanying it we escaped the distruction but not the rain which came down in torrents for an hour + one good peal of thunder which made one sit up and take notice. in Framingham it was very severe, but Boston escaped it, Banton had the hail stones, I was here alone, she had gone to Boston. the papers said in places the damage was worse than in the hurrycane I am very thankful to escape it. what will come next? I had a card yesterday from Lena + a promise of a little later on.
Our neighbors accross the way Pussell Holmes have gone the furniture man came + got their good they had'nt paid for so they had to go probably home to Pa + Ma he works in Meads rubber works nights. she has just had her baby but they
