Marnie Kate is visiting Elizabeth Southworth for a week + Mrs. Barry has been down there a little while this afternoon to see them, so Elizabeth sent me some cakes, nuts + candy some of their treats, out of the kindness of her heart + said wished I could have been there also. Anna says Elizabeth is true blue + people dont know her but she does. Mrs. Barry has always said the same about her, she is blunt + always says what she means.
Marnie and Mrs. Barry have been invited up to Marys this afternoon Bert Winslows wife she should have invited Elizabeth instead as Marnie is her guest but for some reason she had Blanch instead. Marnie is coming to have her feet attended to by Mrs. Trollop tomorrow + then will walk over here to say good bye to us, before she goes back to Wenham. I didn't see fit to invite her here, because I cannot stand her too long she is going back this week after her visit with Elizabeth they say she looks bad + wants to go all the live long time but Anna says it might be because of the hardening of the arteries. quite a sensible idea dont you think she was at the Worlds Fair over the fourth but never walked a step. they push them around in wheel chairs. did you ever? well guess I will go Ma
