Stoughton June 11th 1939

Dear Folks 
I guess you are off on a jaunt for a day in the open, hope you are taking a swim as thats your hobby. as I am waiting to have my Sunday dinner which will consist of a boiled ham shoulder with a covering of pine apple sauce (canned) + fresh peas I will begin my letter to you. she singes in church to day the firemen turn out there. they are out of conceit with their paster Mr Bradner coming as he did after Mr Marshall it was certainly a great change no one likes him, he has funny ideas.

Fanny Marshal has gone crazy she boarded with Alice + Percy, they say she began to be very funny there at the last. they have sent her away to a private asylum. crazy over men, she wants one bad, a queer case. the towns people pity her parents + offer their assistance if theres anything they can do. 

Mrs Barry says Bertha Reynolds was here to meeting + going to Buffalo tomorow. she is very smart + nice. did her good to go away from home. what will become of
