                      The old man keeps hens + sells his eggs the barn is the shelter, but he is very neat + particular he makes a little money on them selling his eggs boards with Alice Tilden. his wife goes out nursing. they had money once but lost it. he is not able to work. 
                     I must hurry up + finish the letter for the Post man is due any minute now.
