Dear Folks

We are having more sesonable weather for the last week. things are therfore coming forward & it seems more like the month of spring.

Was glad you found everything all right when you got back. I was also glad to hear about the [Clafife] family. but you didnt mention anything about the oldest one Arthur [Clafife] & I wondered if he was living. sorry to hear of Luellas death, her husband died some time ago. she used to take boarders summers down to the shore place.

Gladys was here Saturday for a little while, she is having work in Brockton now & after work (she does'nt work saturday afternoon), she called on her mother & then came through the old neighborhood to call on me & was going to call on Alice & then go from there to Everette by bus. she said they sent for her to come to work & she was only too glad to have the chance to work, even though she has to go so far for it & says one cant be too particular these day where it is so hard to get any thing to do. Charley dont drive his car as much, because the gas has gone up since the strike.
