D W 2 (OAACBD of And[[?]]) 1867 Charleston S.C. February 13" 1867 Deane Edw L. Bvt. Maj. & A.A.A.G. I.B. 32 "D" States that one Mr. Haskills transportation for freedmen to go to some place in the state of Mississippi was sent to him direct and requests to be informed if Mr Haskell left a bond with me for proper use of the transportation and also three lists of the freedpeople & three copies of transportation order &c, Office S.A.C. Abbeville S.C. February 18" 1867 Respectfully returned thro. office A.A.C. at Aiken S.C. with the following information over Mr. [[?]] informed me when he returned from Charleston after making his application for transportation that he had completed with all the requirements and that as soon as he received his transportation order he would be ready to start. He wanted at this place for his order & I expected that he would notify me when he received it but he received it direct and left here without informing me, in fact he was gone a week before I knew it. After I learned that he was gone I went to see his brother who told me they did not think it was necessary to come & see me as they were under the impression that all the stipulations had been complied with.
