George Station July 2nd 1867
Genl H Meide
Dear Sir
I have found out all I can about the parties you wrote to me about they are living about Nine Miles from me and from what I can learn they are much like the rest of the people out of Corn I think you might send them up a few Bushels to help them for the present they are no worse of than the rest of the Freedmen Who are coming to me daily for Corn I wrote to Genl Scott some time ago to get him to send me up some Corn and Meat to distribute out but have received no answer I do not think it advisable to give out more than two or three Bushels of Corn to each family at one time to either White or Colored unless in extreem Cases Please see what arangements you can make to send me up more Corn and Meat if possible as I have promised several to try to get a little more for them by attending to the above as early as possible will much oblige
      Very Respectfully
         B W Dinnell
