this report is but general in its nature. But I know that both are deeply interested in the welfare of the colored people and do what the can to secure justice to them.
I expect to go D Barnwell in a short time to attend a session of the Provost Court and will endeavor to ascertain the grounds upon which the complaints against Sheriff Woodward and Mr. Nerland[[guess]] are based.
