In accordance with Special Orders No. 15 p. II dated Hd Qrs. Asst. Comsr. Bu R.F. and A.L. So. Ca. January 28.1867 constituting us a Board under Sec [[strikethrough]] 2 [[/strikethrough]] II of "a bill to establish a Bureau of R.F. and A.L." - "to assess the values of buildings and improvements placed by freedpeople upon lands covered by possessory title on Johns Island. S.C." we have examined and assessed the improvements placed upon land covered by possessory title No. 342 dated Oct 3. 1865, located by George Green, (freedman) on plantation known as William Burdens "Hut Place," on said Johns Island, S.C. as follows:

Repairs on Houses, $25. Twenty Five Dollars, as a fair compensation to be made to the said George Green "by the former owners of such lands or their legal representatives."
