CARL H. GETZ
PERSHING SQUARE BUILDING
100 EAST 24ND STREET
NEW YORK

December 1, 1924.

Dear Mr. Seligmann:

I was quite surprised when Mr. Trevor telephoned and advised me that you were quite angry because of the errors in the copy which was last mailed to the newspapers. These are the facts.

I am enclosing your letter to me which will show how I got the impression that the exhibition included a bust of Miss Vanderlip.

Secondly, a copy of the release was sent to your office for correction.

Thirdly, corrections were sent me over the telephone.

I can readily appreciate that such a service as I am giving you is unsatisfactory and I would suggest that you retain someone-- I can give you the name of a good man-- to serve you in a professional capacity just as I serve others. A gratuitous service is always an unsatisfactory service when the work accomplished is judged professionally.

Your institution has much to overcome in that others have advertised and you have not and do not. Naturally newspapers are the more cordial to those concerns which do spend some money.

I am returning the material sent me.

With every good wish,

Cordially yours,

Carl H Getz
