Mr. Degolyer states that all the Defendents hav been guilty of this part of the Contract.

Another article, in of the contract was read by no Cotton shall be planted Pct.Pct. Mr. Degolyer took his oath that this was a coppy of his Contract and that it was read to the People.

Mr. Degolyer says That the mellon rines were not removed according to the Contract and some remains at this date. The People hav often keep informed of the nature of the Contract. The Contract was read to them on the 12th inst and they said it was the one they were working under.

Mr. Degolyer then presented an order from Lieut Powers L.A.C.F.B. Dated june 12th 1866 in which they were ordered to clear the Field of the corn and watermelon rines. He stated that John Green had removed his rines and worked his cotton very well since That by the Delinquiencies of the People he had lost about 1/3 the probal
