Hester also told me in the presence of Andy that Walker offered him twice what he could make by his case if he would testify for him (Walker). Andy requested me to assist him in his case and I hesitated some time as I do not like to take sides with the negros against white men, but being convinced that the boys were not likely to get their just dues I consented, and I would further state in regard to shares, I have two sets of hands employed this year, on new land clearing up, and give them all they make.
