Bevely Harris who will hand you this note is the man I wrote to you about Some time back he worked hear 4 months and 19 days last year with Silas H Yancy white and James colored Hollowway and John Ray the Hands ware to find them Selves and received one half of the crop for their Servises Bevely worked faithfully with them from Chismus until some time in May when it become necessary for him to leave this county by fouls statements of Fan Rogers freed, you Stated in yours that it was nessary for you to know whether Yancy had any part of that crop in his possesion the crop of Tobacco they made is Still in my Barn and he is entitled to one fourth of it
