A. E. Wilson = Jordan White (Col'd) was to move on to my place, clear a certain portion of new ground say 5 or 6 acres more or less and cultivate an old field of ground. the new ground he was to have for 2 yrs and the old ground 1 yr he was to repair the house and have it for 2 yrs - he was to build a 10 rail fence around the new & old grounds = the agreement was made in the fall /66 = he was to have all the wood that he cut from the place inside the enclosure for his own use & benefit = he moved to my place in November 1866, he commenced work in the new grounds the following [[crossed out]] Spring [[/crossed out]] February = and cleared about 3 acres = he ploughed about 8 or 10 acres of the old ground = he furnished everything in clearing & cultivating = about four acres that he tended I was to have a third of the crop = I got about 16 bushels of corn for my share of the 4 acres - he raised about 12 barrels on the 4 acres = in another lot he raised cotton and I was to have 1/3 of that — do not know how much was raised
