In 1865 fall- Bought a horse from Deft - $100 = pd $40 on a/c = some 3 weeks afterwards - Dr M- proposed to take a cow & some hogs as security. for 12 mos (cow & five pigs, suckling pigs)= I agreed. The cow & pigs remained with me until Nov 1867. [[strikethrough]] except one which I gave to Jerry Walker in Mch 1867. to pay for corn bo't in Feb'y [[/strikethrough]] No writings were ever drawn between Dr M - & me the cow & hogs were to stand as promised for 12 mos- if not paid by that time the property was to be his = In the fall of 1866 I couldnt pay - He told me to pay of him as I could = offered last year to trade a horse for my debt- he didnt want it.

I killed the pigs that I had promised - three and [[strikethrough]] another [[/strikethrough]] 2 more litters one of the [[strikethrough]] last [[/strikethrough]] first of those two I gave to Jerry Walker for a debt= The cow died in or around fb almost March 1867.-

Frank Walker (F) - Jerry killed 5 hogs in 1867-in the fall= He bot one from Bass, one from Mr Lenick 3 he raised.

Jerry Walker recalled hogs that he got a Jany from Tom Bass sister-all my hogs had as marks a round hole in each ear & a split under each ear near the head-
