Charles Snipes (F) being duly = I was at the Methodist Church not quite a hundred yards from the P.O. saw Judd McDade have Mills by the hand. Mr Jones Watson picked up a rock & told him he had a good mind to kill him with it = Mr John White told him to lay the rock down. Jones Watson then picked up the stick Mills had about an inch thick about 3 ft long & struck him over the head three times= When Jones Watson struck Mills I was in the street about 40 ft from the parties. Saml Shaw (F) being duly sworn says= I was at the Methodist Church with the last witness Saw Jones Watson strike Mills twice with a stick over the head this was near the P.O. Cant say whether it was the large or small end
